Robert "Lee" Harker, III

Robert "Lee" Dexter Harker, III, 57, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Born on March 6, 1957 in Carmel, California, he was the son of the late Robert Dexter Harker, Jr. and Margaret Cecelia (Brichner) Harker.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved aunt, Mary A. Weidman.

Lee was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Most recently he had been employed with Goodwill Industries in Martinsburg.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Laura P. (Crookshank) Harker; one sister, Robin Harker Hite and husband Lester of Walkersville, West Virginia; one nephew, Jason Hutzler and wife Trish of Cullen, Virginia; one cousin, David Weidman of Blaine, Minnesota; his mother-in-law, Wilda J. Crookshank of Martinsburg; two sisters-in-law, Robin Hanes and husband Jeff and their family of Sharpsburg, Maryland, and Jackie Beard and husband John of Martinsburg; and one brother-in-law, Blane Crookshank of Hedgesville, West Virginia.  Lee will also be missed by his loving dog Chloe, and his cats, Lizzie, Darth and Diego.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Samples Manor Church of God, 2128 Harpers Ferry Road in Sharpsburg.  Rev. Kenneth W. Johnson will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
