Robert E. {Papa Bo} Harrison

Mr. Robert E. Papa Bo Harrison, 81, of Mt. Airy died on Thursday July 2, 2009 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara C. Harrison.

Born on February 4, 1928 in Woodbine he was the son of the late Edwin and Mary Day Harrison.

Mr. Harrison served in the U. S. Army. He was a foreman and worked in road construction first for R. F. Kline and then F. O. Day until his retirement. His favorite pass time was to sit on his front porch at his home in Mt. Airy and wave to passers by.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Roxanne Hemphill and husband Michael of Mt. Airy, Grandchildren Heather Fuss and husband JR. of Hagerstown and Robert Zachary Hemphill of Mt. Airy. One great granddaughter Abagail Fuss.

Visitation: Friends may call on Sunday July 5, 2009 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville, Blvd, Mt. Airy from 3-5 & 7-9pm.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday July 6, at the Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, 16151 Old Frederick, Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771. Diaconal Minister Audrey Forbes will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy.
Pallbearers will be Robert House, Peter Jewell, Ray Miller, Michael Hemphill, Zachary Hemphill and JR Fuss.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Dept. 702 North Main Street, Mt. Airy or to the Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church.
