Robert "Bobby" Smith, Sr.

Robert "Bobby" Allan Smith, Sr. of Thurmont, MD, formerly of Frederick, MD passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born August 14, 1959 in Frederick, MD he was the son of Clara I. Smith-Toney of Walkersville, MD and the late Austin M. Smith.
Bobby was a skilled Trim Carpenter for 40 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling and going to the beach. Bobby was a loving father, grandfather and friend and loved spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, family and friends.
He is survived by daughter Nicole Hoffman and husband Corey of Thurmont, son Robert Allan Smith, Jr.; nine grandchildren, Savannah, Ethan and CJ, Joanne, Jacob, Jeremiah, Luke, Matthew and Robert, III. He is also survived by his life partner and special friend Valerie Baker of Thurmont and also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister Bonnie I. Smith and grandmother Daisy O. McDonough.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at 11AM. Rev. Tim May will officiate.
Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
