Robert [Bob] Bryon Lydard, Sr.

Robert Bob Bryon Lydard, Sr., (Pap), 65 of Martinsburg, WV passed away suddenly on September 16, 2007. He was the husband of Carole (Wright) Lydard. They were married for 47 years.

Born September 10, 1942 in Barnesville, Maryland he was the son of the late George and Nellie Lydard.

Mr. Lydard was employed by Hann & Hann of Rockville, Maryland for 15 years as a Master Craftsman at his profession in carpentry.

He was a devoted loving husband and father. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch listening to old country music and cooking on the grill.

In addition to his devoted and loving wife Carole, he is survived by his children, Donna Lydard of Falling Waters, WV, Dianna Lydard of Martisnsbug, WV and Robert B. Lydard, Jr. of Martinsburg, WV; a grandson, Charles Bryon Hough and wife Katie of Falling Waters, WV; two great grandsons, Charles David Hough and Aiden Bryon Hough; one brother, Jack Lydard and wife Kitty of Middletown, MD; a sister, Nellie Fauver and husband Bill of Frederick, MD. He will also be remembered by Chelesea Jones of Frederick, MD whom who loved like a daughter and his special companion and dog, Dookie.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, James and Arnold Lydard.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Perks officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
