Robert (Bob) Cline

Robert (Bob) Earl Cline, 66, of Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, April 9, 2018.

Born on July 4, 1951, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Nevin Eugene Cline Sr. and Dorothy Viola Ford. Bob graduated from Walkersville High School in 1969, where he received the Unsung Hero Award for Athletics. He served in the United States Army Reserves for 6 years. In his younger years, Bob was an avid softball player at Pinecliff Park, and then went on to umpire for more than 20 years where he made many life-long friendships. Bob loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, duckpin bowling, working in his yard and fixing anything that was broken. He took any opportunity he could to spend time with his grandchildren. Bob retired from the Frederick County Government as a Foreman of the Frederick County Highway Department.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Angela P. Cline and her fiancé Robert Rollins Jr.; his step children, Shawn Gypins and husband Corey, and Thomas Fritz Jr. and wife Tara; his sisters, Cynthia West and husband Ronnie and Brenda Cramer; his grandchildren, Danielle, Trey, Taylor, Nathan, Jalen, Kylie, Alecia, Mollie and Caroline. He is also survived by his companion Carol Servacek, and his life-long friend and mother of his daughter Angie, Pamela Cline.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5pm & 7-9pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home,1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. A celebration of Robert's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Monday April 16 at the funeral home. Reverend Tim May will officiate.  Interment will be follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
