Robert A. McPherson

Mr. Robert A. McPherson, Jr., 72, of Mt. Airy, died on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at his residence.
He was the husband of the late Caroline Carr McPherson who died in 2006.
Born on January 16, 1937, in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Robert A., Sr and Marian Liles McPherson.
Bob's career was spent as the general manager of several hotels; as a limousine driver in the District of Columbia; and as a Conference Assistant for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
He enjoyed playing backgammon, gin, poker and listening to music, as well as taking trips to Williamsburg and Disney World.
Surviving are 2 children: Caroline Lee McPherson and Robert A. McPherson, III both of Mt. Airy; and one brother, Douglas C. McPherson and wife Betty Jeanne of Lorton, VA.
Interment will be private.
