Robert A. Howell

Mr. Robert A. Howell, 71, of Edgewater, formerly of Mt. Airy, died on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Spa Creek Center, Annapolis.
Born on July 11, 1936, in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Roy and Elizabeth Pulliam Howell. He was a salesman with Repro Graphics. Mr. Howell served in the U.S. Navy. Robert was an avid Washington Redskins fan and at one time played semi-pro football in the DC area. In his younger days in addition to football, was also well versed in the discipline of Karate. He enjoyed boating and fishing in the Chesapeake Bay.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Darleen Tenn and husband David of Edgewater and Lisa Smith of New Market; a son, Robert Howell of Washington, DC; 4 grandchildren: Amber Tenn, Justin Tenn, Alexandra Smith and Vincent Smith; a great grandson, John Tenn; one brother, Doug Howell of South Carolina and two sisters: Joan Knapp of Delaware and Betty Howell of Florida;

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon til 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 20, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy.
