Robert Perrygo

Robert Willis Perrygo, 88, of Adamstown, MD, died June 6, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Esther Perrygo of 67 years. Born on March 22, 1923, in Oxon Hill, MD, he was the son of the late Maurice and Leila Perrygo. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II as an aerial gunnery instructor. Later, he founded Perrygo Hardware in Accokeek, MD. Robert and his wife spent their retirement years in Hollywood, MD, a place that he loved dearly. His favorite pastimes were boating, fishing, hunting, and supporting the Elks Lodge. He was the father of Robert A. and wife Mary of New Market, MD, Gary and wife Pamela of Leonardtown, MD, and Charles and wife Linda of Gaithersburg, MD. There are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his brother Bud and wife Betty, and his sister Virginia Hayes. He was predeceased by his brother James and sister Margaret Ward. Services will be held at 12:00 noon, on June 11, 2011, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 22020 Chancellor’s Run Road, Great Mills, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060. Arrangement are by Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick.
