Robert Rudell “Bobby” Watkins, 45, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on June 24, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident. He was engaged to Ann Howdyshell.

Born on January 12, 1973, he was the son of Alvin R. Watkins Jr.  and Ruby (Wisner) Watkins. He was a graduate of Frederick High School class of 1991. Bobby enjoyed learning about his genealogy and the history of the civil war. He also enjoyed traveling. Bobby was known for being an AVID Ravens and Orioles fan!

In addition to his parents and fiancé, he is survived by his son, Timothy Allen Brashear Watkins; he is survived by his two siblings, John Watkins Sr. (Ashley Bushman) and Traci Lea Watkins (Andy Grove); maternal grandmother, Mildred Wisner; and nephews, John Jr., Collan and Blake Watkins, Triston Higgins “His little buddy”; numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by first wife, Virginia Brashear Watkins; paternal grandparents, Alvin and Maizie Watkins; maternal grandfather, Paul Wisner Sr.; and nephew, David Lee Watkins.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1690 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. A celebration of his life’s journey will be held at 11am on Monday, July 2nd at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Clustered Spires Cemetery.

It would be Bobby’s wish that memorial donations may be made in his memory to better his son’s future, Timothy Brashear Watkins, 5748 Shookstown Road, Frederick, MD 21702.
