Robert Stellabotta

Robert Joseph Stellabotta, 70, of Jefferson, MD, formerly of Clinton, MD, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Louise.

Born March 12, 1948 in Cheverly to the late Hugo and Dorothy Virginia (Richmond) Stellabotta.

He was a self-employed residential and commercial painter for over 25 years, later becoming a paint salesmen for many companies in the greater Washington, DC area. Robert was a loving father and very dedicated to his family.

In addition to wife, he is survived by two daughters, Nancy Commeree (Matthew), and Valerie Volpe (John), all of Frederick; three grandchildren, Cecelia Zombro, Samantha Volpe, and Olive Volpe; three brothers, Bill Stellabotta (Nancy Lewis) of Huntingtown, MD, Richard Stellabotta of Lanham, MD, and John Stellabotta (Barrie) of Huntingtown, MD; numerous nieces and nephews and their families, as well as many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, May 26 from the funeral home chapel with family receiving friends from 11 to 12. Officiating will be Pastor Paul Black.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

The family requests no flowers be sent, but donations may be made in Robert's name to Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 66 Waverley Dr, Frederick, MD 21702; or to Hospice of Frederick Co., P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
