Robert T. Roussel
Robert (Bob) Thomas Roussel, 76, a long-time resident of Eltingville, in Staten Island, New York, and parishioner of St. Clare R.C. Church, (now residing in Mount Airy, Maryland), a former employee of the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority (MABSTOA), died suddenly at home on January 23, 2017.  Born on July 25, 1940, in New York City, NY, he was the son of Louis Roussel and Martha (Fahy) Roussel.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bernadette; his daughter Claudine (Roussel) Baker and husband Mike and their children Matthew Glenn, Emily Delia, Aidan Michael, and Nicholas Robert; his son Keith Roussel and wife Kelly (DeMeo) and their children Benjamin Alexander, Thomas Martin Xavier, and Olivia Mae; and youngest son, Michael Roussel.
Mr. Roussel is survived by his sister Margaret Roussel; sister-in-law Carol Roussel, wife of deceased brother Louis; sister-in-law Nora Roussel, wife of deceased brother John; preceded in death by his youngest brother Thomas.  He is also survived by his wife’s four sisters, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many dear friends.
Bob enjoyed spending time with family, particularly his grandchildren, attending auctions, collecting antiques, and was an avid car enthusiast and traveler.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm, Friday, January 27, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Mt. Airy), 8 East Ridgeville Road in Mount Airy, MD.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at St. Michael’s Church at Poplar Springs, 1125 St. Michael’s Road in Mount Airy, MD.  Rev. Michael Ruane will officiate. Interment will be at St. Michael’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Mount Airy, MD.
