Robert Rohrer

Mr. Robert Charles Rohrer, 84 of Frederick, MD., died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Western Maryland Health System. He was the husband of Tamara Graves Rohrer.
Born March 28, 1928 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Dale B.. and Ima Faye
Welty Rohrer.
Mr. Rohrer was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren. After
graduating from Hagerstown H. S., he served his Country in the U. S. Marine
Corps. Bob retired from Bell Atlantic after 41 yrs of service in 1988. He was a
member of Bell Atlantic Pioneers, a life member of the National Rifle Assoc., Life
member of North American Hunting Club, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose
#371 Frederick, member of the Hagerstown Elks #378, member of Silver Wings Fraternity 50 yrs Gold Club (having obtained his pilots license at age 17), and the American Legion Post #0011. In earlier years he was active in the Jr. Chamber of Commerce changing Community Chest to United Fund of Washington
County.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two children Brenda McDanolds and
husband George of Middletown and Brian T. Rohrer and wife Sharon of
Westminster, four grandchildren Eric Rohrer, Scott Rohrer, Kristina McKune and husband Dave, and Amy Rohrer, three step-children Randie McLaughlin, Leslie Albright and Christy Polce.
Friends may call at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick
on Monday, October 15, from 2 -9p.m., where the family will receive friends from 7 -
9 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, October 16, at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Mundy officiating.
