Robert Rhoades

October 18, 1945 — January 12, 2011

Robert Lyle Rhoades of Ijamsville passed away Wednesday January 12 th at Washington Adventist Hospital. He was born October 18 th , 1945 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Minnie and Arthur Rhoades.

In the late 1960’s, Bob proudly served his country in the Washington D.C. National Guard for two years.

Bob started working for Fusion UV Systems, Inc. in 1981. For the past 30 years he worked with many different departments, including applications, engineering, marketing, and domestic & international sales.

He loved spending time with his family & friends and could always be found lost in a good book. His generous heart and helping hands were always shown to family, friends, neighbors and his community.

He is survived by his wife Katharine Ann Rhoades of Ijamsville, MD. His two sons; Wayne Rhoades and his wife Nicole of Frederick, Scott Rhoades and his wife Terri of Martinsburg, and his daughter Erin Rhoades of Ijamsville. He is also survived by his sister Anna Lee and her husband James Little of Falls Church and their two children. Russ Little and his family and Becky Salyers and her family.

He will also be missed by his three precious granddaughters. Wayne’s daughter Molly, Scott’s daughter Hannah and Erin’s daughter Grace. These three angels could make their Pop smile like nothing else. He was the happiest when surrounded by family.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Monday January 17 th, 2011 at 11:00 am. 703 West Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701. A small reception to follow the service.
