Robert Peomroy

Mr. Robert L. Peomroy, 75, of Rocky Ridge, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home.
He was the husband of the late Mary Louise Parrish Peomroy. They were married 50 years.
Born May 9, 1938 in Frederick County, Maryland, he was the son of Charles and Helen Welty Peomroy.
Mr. Peomroy was a member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ in Rocky Ridge. He drove a truck for Charlie Mehring and M. R. Zentz in Keymar and retired from Keilholtz Trucking in 1992. Mr. Peomroy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He also loved driving his milk truck and talking with all his fellow truck drivers, collecting small trucks, and watching NASCAR. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his children Wanda Fogle and husband Marlin of Emmitsburg and Connie Humerick and husband Luke, Jr. of Rocky Ridge, two grandchildren Amber Youngerman and husband Joey and Branden Humerick, two great grandchildren Devin and Blake Youngerman, and a sister Nancy Gorsuch and husband Ray of Gettysburg. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Heflin.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont, Sunday, January 5, from 2-9 pm, where the family will receive friends from 6-9 pm. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 6, at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, 10043 Longs Mill Road, Rocky Ridge. MD.
Interment Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Rocky Ridge.
