Mr. Robert D. Osburn, Jr., 66, of Frederick, MD passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Georgetown University Hospital.


Born June 7, 1945 he was the son of the late Robert Dudley and Doris Jones Osburn.

A graduate of the University of Maryland and the Law School at the University of Baltimore, Mr. Osburn was the owner and manager of serveral land title companies in the Frederick and Hagerstown area.

His passion, however, was the game of bridge. He was an ALBL member and member of the Frederick Bridge Club. Mr. Osburn competed locally and nationally and was the runner-up McKenny Award winner several years ago, which placed him second in the U.S. in his class. He attained Silver Life Master Status. His love of life and sense of humor will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Gail Mullison Osburn of Frederick and his daughter Laura Osburn Busch of Seattle, WA; sister Mrs. Sandra Osburn Cherry of Louisville, KY; nephew James D. Mullison of New York City, and nieces Casssandra Cherry Brosvik of Houston, TX, Rebecca E. Mullison of Vienna, VA, Stephanie and Tiffany Channing of Frederick, and several great nieces.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11AM from St. Michael the Archangel Anglican Catholic Church at Braddock Lutheran Church, 6928 N. Clifton Rd., Frederick.

Celebrants will be Father Arthur Woolley and Father Pothin Ngyele.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the St. Michael the Archangel Building Fund 6928 N. Clifton Rd., Frederick, MD 21702 and the Frederick Humane Society 217 W. Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21701.
