Robert N. Null, 75, of Boonsboro, Maryland, went to Heaven on Sunday, January 11, 2015 on his way to the "Memory Tree Stand."
Born on October 12, 1939 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Charles Jacob Null, Sr. and Barbara Ellen (Householder) Null. His first wife, Patricia A. (Bender) Null, preceded him in death in 1998.
Bob was a 1957 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He was veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea.
Bob retired in 2000 from Volvo/Mack in Hagerstown after 34 years of employment. He was also the owner/operator of Bob Null Excavating, and had worked as a snow removal contractor for the Maryland State Roads Department.
He had attended Benevola United Methodist Church and Victory Baptist Church, both in Boonsboro.
Bob will be deeply missed by his entire family and he will be fondly remembered for his love of hunting. His family will also miss his ongoing support for his grandchildren's sporting events.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny (Hook) Null; two sons, Ryan K. Null and wife Terri, and Gregory W. Null and companion Catharine Spellar, all of Boonsboro; two step sons, Cody L. Moore of Winchester, Virginia, and Ross W. Moore and wife Sneha, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Barbara A. Holmes and husband Brian of Maugansvillle, Maryland, and Bonnie E. Feigley and husband Donald of Hagerstown; one brother, Charles J. Null, Jr. and wife Peggy of Williamsport, Maryland; six grandchildren, Erica, Madison, Macie, Logan, Jayden and Colton Null; and two step grandchildren, Andrew and Julieanna Moore.
In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by his half brother, Brant E. Gorman; and one step granddaughter, Ananya Moore.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Victory Baptist Church, 8014 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Edward J. Wade will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Boonsboro Cemetery with military honors by the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 from Boonsboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
