Robert Max Nielubowski, 69, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, March 11, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 28, 1949, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Robert Chester and Elizabeth Ann (Kopack) Nielubowski.
He was a graduate of DeLaSalle High School Class of 1967 and of Southern Illinois University with a degree in art. He was then drafted into the United States Army where he worked as a Military Police Officer. Robert retired from the District of Columbia Superior Court System where he spent his entire career. Upon retirement, he was the leader of the probate department.
He was a long time member of Saint John's Catholic Church. Robert loved watching and shopping QVC, loved music and cars. A talented cartoonist who had a passion for art and drawing, Robert was a DIE hard Cubs fan and a music lover. He was a Jeapordy connoisseur who enjoyed watching Sharks and animals on TV. Robert had a love of baking and a green thumb.
He was a loving father to Edie Harmon, Julia Nielubowski and Katherine Nielubowski; and his honorary son, Michael Tetteris; he was known as Pop to his grandchildren, Chelsea, Stephanie, Juliano, Jordan, Sophia and MJ; he was a loving great-grandfather to Bryce; brother to his siblings, Richard Nielubowski (Kitty) and Susan LaFray (Robert); and he was an uncle to Jill Kruger and Chrissy Mackowiak.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, Maryland.
A celebration of Robert's life journey will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th, following the visitation with family, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
