MR. ROBERT STEPHEN MARTIN 75, OF FREDERICK, MARYLAND DIED SUNDAY MAY 13, 2012 AFTER A LONG CHRONIC ILLNESS.
ROBERT WAS BORN TO MARION J. AND JULIUS H. MARTIN IN WASHINGTON, D.C. ON AUGUST 4, 1936. HE WAS THE FIRST OF THREE SONS. ROBERT GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN BETHESDA, CHEVY CHASE IN THE EARLY 1950’S.
LATER HE BECAME THE OWNER AND OPERATOR OF CUSTOM BRACE AND APPLIANCE COMPANY IN BETHESDA, MARYLAND. THIS WAS AN ORTHOPEDIC SALES COMPANY AND ROBERT WAS EXTREMELY SKILLED IN MAKING AND FASHIONING BRACES.
ROBERT WAS ALSO VERY TALENTED IN ALL TYPES OF MECHANICAL ENDEAVORS AND RESTORATION.
ROBERT IS SURVIVED BY HIS TWO BROTHERS, THOMAS A. MARTIN AND WIFE SALLY OF FREDERICK, MARYLAND; AND GLENN A. MARTIN AND WIFE CRYSTAL OF MIDDLETOWN, VIRGINIA. HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY SEVERAL NIECES AND NEPHEWS AS WELL AS THREE GREAT NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
ROBERT WAS PREDECEASED BY HIS PARENTS AND HIS TWO BELOVED CATS, MISS KITY, AND BUFFY.
INTERNMENT WILL BE PRIVATE AND AT A LATER DATE AT THE CONVENIENCE OF THE FAMILY.
