Mr. Robert “Bob” Taylor Linthicum, 63, of Frederick, MD., passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Gilchrist Hospice Center. He was the husband of Catherine Hallameyer Linthicum.
Born October 16, 1948 in Baltimore, MD., he was the son of the late Robert and Frances Eydelloth Linthicum.
Mr. Linthicum was Senior Vice President at the Sandy Spring Bank. He was Past President and Director of Fredericktowne Rotary, was on the Board of FITC and a member of the Maryland Slowpitch Softball Hall of Fame. Bob was an avid golfer a was a member of the Myrtle Beach Bums, the Ocean City Bums and the Poor Boys.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Ryan Linthicum and wife Andy of Perry Hall, MD, his sister Bonnie Linthicum, and his step-children Tracy Smith and Jim Burns. He was preceded in death by a brother Mark Linthicum.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, July 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Family will also receive friends at the Ruck Funeral Home, 1050 York Road, Towson, MD on Tuesday, July 24, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where services will be held Wednesday, July 25, at 11:00 am
Interment Gardens of Faith, Baltimore.
