Robert H. Kline, 73, of Middletown, Maryland, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 14, 2019. He was a beloved Father and Husband and is survived by the love of his life, Kay Kline, his wife of 51 years.
Born on June 14, 1945, in Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Fargo ND and Graduated from North Dakota State University. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He earned his Masters degree in Business Economics & Hospital Administration. He dedicated his career to public service as he worked for The Veterans Administration for over 40 years. Robert, known to his friends as Bob; enjoyed golfing, boating, water skiing, traveling, country music, lakes, peaceful drives through the country and shooting sports. He loved all animals but nothing compared to his Dogs, Apollo, Clancy, Jake and Macy; they held a special place in his heart. Bob enjoyed spending time with his wife on their screened in porch watching the swallows and other birds feeding from their feeders, nesting in their bird houses and and gathering around their bird baths. Bob had a green thumb and loved to plant trees and work in the yard. Bob loved traditional holidays with the family, specifically Christmas and Thanksgiving. His Grandchildren provided him with extreme joy; he enjoyed every minute he spent with them. He was so proud of all their accomplishments, big and small. Bob enjoyed watching them excel at athletics, listening to them sing in the choir and hearing the tales of their many activities and scholastic achievements.He loved his Church, United Methodist Church, and was so very appreciative of all the support he received during his illness and through the years. A few of his favorite things were Minnesota Fish Frys, NDSU Bison Football, Hot Wings, Hot mustard on Chinese food and Pitchers of beer with his Pizza and wife. He loved his philosophical conversations with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor. Bob had a huge heart for helping people in need. He loved caring for animals as well. He was a member of the Elks Club where he served as Exalted Ruler in the 90s, American Legion, Amvets, Monocacy Pistol Club, past member of the Marine Corps League.
Robert Kline is survived by his wife, Kay Kline, his Son, Christopher Kline, his daughter, Kimberly Kloster, his son-in-law Kevin Kloster, his Grandchildren Kaylin, Chase, & Ava Kline and Evin & Braydin Kloster.
He is also survived by his Sisters, Mary Beth Schipke, Kay Weiss and Pat Megli and brothers, Ernie Shull and Parke Davis.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Kline and Donald Kline.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 5-7PM.
Robert Kline’s Funeral (and Celebration of his Life) is Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Middletown United Methodist Church, 7108 Fern Circle in Middletown, MD at 10 am, Pastor Sarah Dorrance will officiate. Immediately following the service the Interment will take place at Christ Reformed Church Cemetery in Middletown, MD.
