Robert Jackson

Mr. Robert Allen Jackson, 80, of Frederick, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Citizens Care & Rehab Center. He was the loving husband of the late Sheila Jackson, who predeceased him on August 2, 2007.

Born September 17, 1934 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Wade and Irene (Schaeffer) Jackson.

He was a member of Teamsters Local 639. Mr. Jackson loved to travel, watch Orioles baseball and doting on his grandchildren. He lived in Brentwood, MD, until moving to Frederick in 2007 to live with his daughter and her family. He was a longtime member of St. James Parish in Mt. Rainier.

He is survived by two daughters, Irene Duff (Francis) of Laurel and Marie Roach (David) of Frederick; two grandchildren, Ashley and Justin Roach; a sister, Frances Fletcher of Sterling, VA; and a brother, Paul Jackson of Arlington, VA.

He was predeceased by a son, Robert Jackson, and a brother, Alfred Bruce Jackson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27th at St. John's Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick, with Father Kevin Farmer officiating.

Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring.
