Robert Howard, Jr.

Mr. Robert Wayne Howard, Jr., 55, of Taneytown, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 1, 2017.

Born on August 31, 1961, he was the son of the late Robert Wayne Howard, Sr. and Ann Elizabeth Howard.

Robert, "Bobby," was employed with Giant Food for 20 years. He was an avid Redskins fan and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. He loved to sing, dance and be the life of every occasion. He had a great sense of humor and truly lived every day to the fullest. He was a thoughtful, loving, caring person and always put his family first. Above all, he deeply adored his two children and always gave them unconditional love.

Robert is survived by his two children, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Howard of Middletown and Robert Wayne Howard, III of Frederick; ex-wife and dear friend, Karen Ann Griffor of Middletown; one brother and best friend, William Bernard Howard and wife, Cathy, of Salisbury; two sisters, Linda Alexander of Brunswick and Brenda Marie Cooper and husband, Derick, of Walkersville; seven nieces and nephews, Jamie DeMeza, Sean DeMeza, Megan Haines and husband, Josh, Jessica Cooper, Emily Cooper, Allan James Begosh and wife, Debbie and Kevin Begosh. He will be especially remembered by his lifelong friends, Marshall Lawrence, Larry Pendleton, Joe Elliott and Billy Link. He will also be remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.

A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Walkersville United Methodist Church, 22 Main Street, Walkersville with Reverend Albert Lane, III officiating.
