Mr. Robert W. Howard, 71 of Taneytown, MD went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Ann Howard, his loving wife of 51 years.
Born July 7, 1941 he was the son of the late William G. Howard and Thelma Mae Studds Howard.
Robert owned and operated B&B Video from 1985-2011. Before owning the video store he was employed with Stidham Tire for 16 years, Grand Union for 27 years and Giant for 9 years.
He was an avid Redskins fan. He loved listening to music and especially the oldies.
Robert had a great since of humor and loved life and lived each day to the fullest. He loved his family and spending time with them.
In addition to his loving wife Ann, he is survived by a brother and best friend, William George Howard, Jr. and wife Linda of Walkersville, three sisters, Karen Lee Smock and husband Joe of Walkersville, Linda Ann Gallahorn and husband Bob of Rockville and Barbara Jean Carmen and husband John of Wheaton, his four children, Linda Ann Alexander and significant other, John of Brunswick, Robert Wayne Howard, Jr. of Taneytown, William Bernard Howard and wife Cathy of Salisbury and Brenda Marie Cooper and husband Derick of Walkersville, nine grandchildren, Jamie Ryan DeMeza, Sean Robert DeMeza, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Howard, Robert Wayne Howard III, Megan Nicole Cooper, Jessica Lynn Cooper, Emily Mae Cooper, Allan James Begosh and wife Debbie and Kevin Paul Begosh and wife Lacey, great grandchildren, Elaija, Jordan, Marley, Maddox, Gavin, Jaleigh, Koryn.
He will be especially remembered by his best friend of 60 years, Bernie Borum and Joe Elliott, who was like a son to him. He will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
A visitation for family members and close friends and family will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossuntown Pike, Frederick form 6:00-8:00PM.
A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at 3:00PM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14 West Pennsylvania Ave, Walkersville with Pastor Mark L. Foucart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Carroll County, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
