Robert Brown Ferris

Robert Brown Ferris, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 25, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born on October 17, 1954, in Rockville, MD.

In his professional life, Robert achieved an AA degree in Accounting and was a dedicated member of the Lions Club for many years. 

As an Eagle Scout who had the privilege attending the Boy Scout Camp Philmont, he embodied the values of loyalty and preparedness in all aspects of his life. Robert had a special affinity for animals, especially dogs, and his love for them brought him immense joy.  He was a gentle soul, who was kind to all.

A football enthusiast, Robert enjoyed cheering for the Raiders. Robert enjoyed socializing with his neighbors at Wesley House and cherished every moment spent at The Albright/ Life Center in Chambersburg with the devoted staff who became like family to him.

Robert is survived by his sister Judy Marple (spouse Don), brother Jeffrey Ferris (spouse Lisa), nieces Katie Marple, Kristen Norris, Megan Schargarodski, and nephews Brandon Ferris and Tyler Ferris. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Judy Ferris.

The family would like to thank especially Dr Jorge Diduszyn, Jaime, Jodie, Rich, Bobby and all the Clinic staff for their love, friendship, fun & games and outings. 

A visitation and funeral service to honor and celebrate Robert Brown Ferris's life will be held on August 5, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
