Robert J. Dickey, Jr., 82, of Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Roberta Dickey.
Robert was born on November 19, 1942, in Washington, DC and was a native of Seat Pleasant, Maryland. He attended Archbishop John Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. and graduated with honors in 1961. He then attended Prince Georges Community College and George Washington University, earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering. Robert worked faithfully as an Electrical Engineer for Pepco for over four decades.
Robert had a tremendous passion for cooking and was known by friends and family for his holiday meals. He was also an avid sports fan and spent every Sunday afternoon during football season watching the Washington Commanders.
He is survived by his brother, Alan F. Dickey of Chino Valley, Arizona; as well as his two stepsons, Tim and wife, Sarah Mayberry, and Scott and wife, Christi Mayberry; and grandchildren, Dylan, Maximus, Kendall, and Cora Mayberry.
