Robert Connelly
March 26, 1932 — April 12, 2016
Robert Francis Connelly, 84, a proud Korean War Veteran and Master Brick Mason, after an extended hard fought battle with illness, went on to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
He loved George Jones, NASCAR, the Redskins, FOX News and working outside.
Robert leaves behind a family, whom he loved dearly and always put first, his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Shirley; children, Gwen, Sherry and Don; sons-in-law, Dwight Lefler and Jack Newmeyer; daughter-in-law, Angie, who were in heart as his own; grandchildren, Sheena and Rob Lefler, Nicole, Crystal and Cindy (Sidney) Newmeyer, John and Abby Connelly; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Ryan Shochet, Robbie "RJ" Lefler; sister and brother, Janice and Ralph; dozens of nieces and nephews who grew up loving their Uncle Robert.
Robert left this earth to join his father, Lewis, sweet mother, Dorothy; brothers, Jim, Lewis, Pete and John to move on to the promise of life everlasting with our Father in Heaven.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard, Mt. Airy.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16th at the funeral home. Following services burial will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Darnestown Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
