Robert V. Brown, Sr.

Robert Vincent Brown, Sr., son of the late John and Helen Brown, husband to the late Carol (Kandy) Brown, proud father to Robert (Bobby) Brown, Jr. and Christine Baker, joined his beloved Kandy and his puppy girl, Daisia, in heaven on Thursday, January 20, 2025. He was such a kind, brave man who left behind a long, amazing legacy of strength and compassion. Robert was born in Newburyport, MA and served proudly in the US Army ASA and MP Corps from 1960-1966. During his military service, he met and married his beautiful wife, Kandy. From there he went on to become a loved and respected police officer for the Frederick Police Department, serving the City of Frederick, MD for 25 years. Robert couldn’t go anywhere without people lighting up, hugging him, telling him how kind he was when they knew him years ago as Sergeant Brown on the police force. 

The good Lord took one of the best home so that he could finally be with his wife again, whom he loved with all of his heart everyday of his life. He will be missed beyond words. We were so lucky to have known him and were made all the better because of it. We love you Mr B. 

In addition is his son, Robert V. Brown, Jr. and his wife, Kirsten, he is survived by his grandchildren, Cassie Fitzpatrick, Zachary Brown, Kyle Daggett, Abbie Brown, Hailee Baker and Cyrus Baker; and his best friend, Samantha Payne.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick with Rev. Tim May officiating. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick. 

The family will receive friends from 12 to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in Frederick.
