Bob Robert Lee Miller

Robert "Bob" Lee Miller, 80, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at A.L.I.V.E. Assisted Living Facility in Ellicott City, MD.

Born on July 17, 1942, in Ellicott City, he was the son of the late Junie Gilmore Miller Jr. and Charlotte Virginia (Herche) Miller.

Bob was a 1960 graduate of the Mount Airy High School. He was employed for 30 years at International Harvester and for 25 years at Rite Aid.

Bob enjoyed bowling with friends at the Mount Airy Bowling League, attending grandkids' games, Frederick Keys games, and dining out.

He is survived by his sisters and brother, Betty McElroy and husband, William, Ronald Miller and wife, Connie, and Deborah Murphy and husband, John; step-daughters, Connie Bly and husband, Russell, and Christine Hyman; grandchildren, Amanda Leiter, David Bly and wife, Sandy; great-grandchildren, Cecilia and Brooks; niece, Bessie Goad and husband, Mike; many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by sister, Virginia Beall; brother, Richard Miller; step-daughter, Cindy Glenn; and great nephew, Mikey Goad.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville in Mount Airy, Maryland.

A celebration of Bob's life journey will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, in Mount Airy. Rev. Tim 
May will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company.
