Mr. Richard J. “Rick” San Luis, 59 of Woodsboro, MD passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at College View Nursing Home.
Born March 16, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia he was the son of the late Jesus and Agueda San Luis.
Rick attended All Saints Episcopal Church in Frederick. He was employed as an aide with Frederick County Department of Recreation.
He enjoyed tennis and bowling and was an avid Redskins fan. He was a member of the Owls Club and the Jaycees both of Frederick.
He is survived by his five sisters, Pricilla Schaefer and husband John of Plano,Texas,Carmelita Perry and husband Bob of Fredericksburg, VA, Nolie Rife and husband Bill of Woodsboro, MD, Grace “Kelly” Hurlburt of Springfield, VA, Mary Ann Jett and husband Danny of Woodbridge, VA, and Lourdes Yanik and husband David of Germany. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Roy J. San Luis.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, February 7th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, at 1PM at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 West Church Street, Frederick with the Rev. Earl Mullins officiating.
Interment will be in Glade Cemetery, Walkersville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Woodsboro Vol. Fire Company, Ladies Axillary, P.O. Box 153, Woodsboro, MD 21798.
