Richard E. {Dick} Black

Mr. Richard E. Dick Black, 77 of Frederick, MD., died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Golden Living. He was the husband of Lena Wagaman Black his wife of 25 years.
Born October 17, 1931 in York, PA he was the son of the late Benjamin R. and Rhoda Raifsnider Black.
Mr. Black was a member of the Fredericktown Baptist Church and volunteered at the Bible School. He served his Country in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. Dick was in Real Estate Sales for many years and also in the auto sales industry in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania for a number of years.. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping and raising race horses.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five children Kathy Harrigan and husband Brian, Richard E. Black, II, Stephanie E. Hilker and husband Mike, Crystal Peck and Pamela Silva and husband Dominic, grandchildren Robert Harrigan, Meghan Brown and husband Peter, Hope and Elizabeth Hornbaker, April Renaud and Sara Silva, two great grandchildren Keely and Reese Brown.

Services: Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 10, at 11:00 a.m. from the Stauffer Funeral Home Chapel, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick with Rev. Les Sims officiating.
