Richard (Dick) Meskill

Richard (Dick) Meskill, 94, of Walkersville, Maryland, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 19, 2018 with his beloved wife by his side.

Born on February 20, 1924, in Thurmont, MD, he was the son of the late Carvill Dennis Meskill and Alta Grace (McAfee) Meskill.

He was the husband of Pat Meskill, his wife of 57 years.

Dick was a life member of Frederick American Legion.  He served his country in WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946.

In addition to his wife he is survived by stepson, Barry Zell and wife Diane; step grandchildren, Brandon Zell and wife Rebecca, Tiffany Skirka and husband David of Eldersburg, Md. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.  He will be dearly remembered by many friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy in Frederick, MD where a celebration of Richard's life journey will follow at 2:00 pm.  Entombment in the mausoleum will conclude services.  Rev. Joanne Gaver will officiate.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice and the many caregivers for their dedicated care and comfort shown to him.
