Richard Maurice Wolf, a beloved and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 8, 2024, at the age of 85. 

Born on August 28, 1939, he was the son of the late Maurice Wolf and the late Ruth Wolf Alexander.  

He spent three years in service to the United States Army after High School. He then worked as a mason, exhibiting an unwavering dedication and expertise in his craft, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working with him. His commitment to his profession was evident in the meticulous attention to detail and the intricate designs included in his work.  

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Richard was a devoted member of the Christian Holiness Church, where he served as a board member and held the role of Superintendent for many years. 

He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Betty, whose love and companionship were a testament to their enduring bond. Richard also leaves behind three children (Timothy Wolf, Teresa Kolb, and Tammy Mueller), eight grandchildren (Heather, Timothy, Thomas, Trisha, Joshua, Stephanie, Brandon, and Brian), and three great-grandchildren (Thomas, Leandra, and Mason). He is also survived by two brothers, Ronald Wolf and Jerry Wolf. Richard was preceded in death by brother Roy. 

Richard’s memory will be forever cherished by all who knew him. His gentle spirit, warm demeanor, kind heart, and unwavering support for his family and friends touched the lives of countless people. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends for generations to come. 

Visitation will be at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, MD on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a Christian funeral service on September 13 starting at 11:00 a.m. A gravesite ceremony will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD at 1:00 p.m.
