Richard White, Jr.

Richard T. White Jr., 57, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Dove Hospice House in Westminster, MDHe was born on November 24, 1959, in Baltimore, MD;  the son of  Richard Thomas White, Sr. and Laverna Miller White.He is survived by wife, Margaret "Peggy" White and her four children, Eric, Michael, Kristy and Phillip; Son, Richard T. White, III and his wife Kandi, and grandsons, Tommy, Timmy, Dakota and Daniel of Sykesville, MD. Sisters, Karen (Jim) Kane of Taneytown, MD.; Barbara (Michael) McInerney of Greenville, S.C.; Diane (Scott) Hinkle of Davis, WV.; and Lisa (Mike) Fair of Biglerville, PA.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and special friends and family that include Jay Warfield and Aleshia Warfield.From an early age Dick worked in the family business, White's Turf Farms, alongside his father.  In the later years he was employed by Gladhill Brothers where he enjoyed the camaraderie  of his co-workers.  He was a fan of the Ravens, NASCAR and followed Dale Earnhart, Sr. & Jr.  He was passionate about his Harley and loved his "Bear" & "Harlee" dogs.  Dick was a man of few words but a quick sense of humor.The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard,  Mt. Airy, MD 21771 on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. A celebration of Richard's life journey will follow 1:00 p.m.   Rev. Tim May will officiate.  Interment will be at  St Paul's United Methodist Church Cemetery, Laytonsville, MD.
