Richard Allen (Dick) Warrenfeltz, 77, of Myersville died after a lengthy illness and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2017. He was the husband of Marian Elizabeth( Althoff) Warrenfeltz; whom he married on March 4, 1962 and they have been married for 54 years.
He was born May 4, 1939 in Pleasant Walk, Frederick Co., MD and was the son of the late Don Betts and Helen Mary (Lewis) Warrenfeltz.
He graduated from Middletown High School in 1957 and served in the U.S. Air Force for 5 years being stationed in Kansas, Wyoming, Texas and Guam Islands. Mr. Warrenfeltz was an active member , usher and served on the Trustee Board for several years at Broadfording Bible Brethren Church in Hagerstown, MD. For many years he and his wife did lawn service at Broadfording Church. Richard retired from Mobile Tool International after 33 years he was a welder; manufacturing aerial lifts after 33 years of service.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his two daughters Tina Marie Potter of Myersville and Debra Ann Divel and significant other Michael Callis of Sparrows Point; one son Aaron Lane Warrenfeltz of Myersville and significant other Teresa Ann Shafer of Myersville; one sister Doloroes Dillman of Myersville. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren Jordan Allen Divel and wife Beth Ann of Middletown, Nicholas Alexander Potter of Myersville, Jeremy Tyler Warrenfeltz of Myersville, Laura Elizabeth Potter of Hagerstown and Sharlene Rae Warrenfeltz of Waynesboro, PA also many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6-9PM. Funeral services will be held at Broadfording Bible Brethren Church, 13523 Broadfording Rd., Hagerstown on Friday, February 17 at 11AM. The Reverends William Wyand and William Freed will officiate.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Warrenfeltz, Lawrence Potter, Michael Callis, Jordan Divel, Nicholas Potter and Herbert Althoff, II. Junior pallbearers will be; Laura Potter and Sharlene Warrenfeltz.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Broadfording Bible Brethren Church at the said mentioned address above.
