Richard Owens

Richard Henry Owens, 66, of Frederick, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Born on May 2, 1954, in Bethesda, MD he was the son of the late Charles Edward Owens and Annie Elizabeth (Moore) Owens.

He is the loving husband of Rosie Owens, his wife of 22 years.

Richard graduated from Poolesville Senior High in 1972 and attended Montgomery College. He is a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at Garda World as an Armored Guard.  He was also a member of the National Rifle Association.  He loved watching westerns and shooting at the gun range but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Rosie Owens, he is survived by his children, Darius Thomas, Jr. and wife Courtney and Teeshia Walker and husband James; grandchildren, Ayanna, Satiera, Xavier, Taylor, Avarie and Bryson; brothers, Charles Owens and wife Deborah, William Owens and Glen Owens and wife Lina.  He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Services and interment will be private.
