Richard Henry Burrill

Richard Henry Burrill, 72, of Frederick Maryland, passed from this life on Monday February 3, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Fulmer Burrill for 25 years.

 Born on May 1, 1952, in Queens, NY. He was the son of the late Howard William and Hope Wandee (Reid) Burrill. 

Rich worked for the Damascus Post Office and was part of the Postal Union for 30 years. He went on to work for Frederick County Schools for 5 years and then was an instrumental part of Burrill Plumbing with his son, Dustin for the last 3 years. Rich, also known as “Pappy,” was the most caring, talented, loving, friendly hard-working man you would ever meet. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with anyone who would listen, thrifting, and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Most of all he adored his wife Terri, the love of his life. Rich had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. 

In addition to his wife Teresa, he is survived by his brothers, Dave (Elsie) Burrill, Doug Burrill, Ron (Michele) Burrill, Jeff Burrill, sister Debbie Burrill, and brother Howie Burrill, children, Brandy (Allen) Rowe, Tommy Burrill, and Dustin (Robin) Burrill, stepdaughters Misty (Danny) DeMarco, and Melissa Rippeon; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 

A celebration of Richard’s life journey will take place on Monday February 17, 2025, at Graceham Moravain Church, 8231 Rocky Ridge Road in Thurmont, MD. Family visitation will begin at 11:30am then the Memorial Service at 12:00pm. Repass will immediately follow at the church.
