Mrs. Rhonda Rhae Abbott, 61, of Keedysville, MD, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of Austin "Abe" Abbott for 32 years.
Born November 26, 1956 in Hagerstown, MD she was the daughter of the late Ray and Imagene (Farrow) Flora.
Rhonda was employed by the former Washington County Hospital now the Meritus Medical Center for over 40 years in which she took great pride in and made many lasting friendships. She loved shopping and visiting new places and like a true matriarch she did this all with and for her family. Family was always first in all that she did.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter in-law; a step-daughter; a step-son; three grandchildren; two sisters and one brother; two nieces and one nephew; two great-nieces and a great-nephew.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro where a funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 11 with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Burial will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
