Reidd Hammond

Mr. Reidd Curtis Hammond, 48 of Middletown, Maryland passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Shan LaCoste Hammond.
Born April 23, 1965 in Frederick, Maryland he was the son of Patricia Hammond Carey and the late Lenny Hammond. He was the step son of Jerry Carey.
He was employed by Lavelle Engineering and Surveying of Frederick County for close to 20 years.
Reidd enjoyed working around his log home. His yard and pool are one of his greatest passions.
He is survived by his two brothers, Todd P. Hammond and wife Andrea and Bradd D. Hammond, his two special nephews, Chase and Andrew Hammond and his stepbrother, Shawn Carey and his wife Stacie.
He had a special relationship with his mother-in-law Hazel LaCoste and was also the son-in-law of Donald LaCoste.
He was preceded in death by his favorite aunt Betty.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, September 13 th from 1:00-3:00PM. A memorial service celebrating Reidd’s life will then begin at 3:00Pm with Rev. Paul Mundey officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Reidd’s name to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Frederick County Chapter.
