Mrs. Rebecca Ann Herbert, 75, of Mount Airy, suddenly passed from this life on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was married for 21 years to Clinton L. "Herbie" Herbert who died in 2005.
Born on June 28, 1943, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Robert Angus and Edythe Muriel Johnston Wilkins.
She is survived by daughter, Jenny Herbert of Mt. Airy and a sister, Dawn Tucker of O'Fallon, Missouri, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Becky worked as an administrator for UPS and retired after 30 years of service. She then filled her days helping with the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary. She also was a member of the Daughters of the King of the Episcopal faith through her association with St. James Episcopal Church in Mt. Airy.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, July 27, Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville. Blvd in Mt. Airy.
A celebration of Rebecca's life journey will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 28, at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 515 S. Market St., Frederick, MD 21701, followed by entombment with her husband.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. James Episcopal Church, 1307 N. Main St., Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
