Mrs. Rebecca A. Conners 65, of Mt. Airy, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at her residence. She was the wife of David M. Conners, Sr., her husband of 48 years.
Born on January 21, 1949, in Hyattstown, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Dorathy Poole Linthicum. She was a homemaker. Becky will fondly be remembered by many, including her softball team "The Little Rascals" that she coached for 20 years as well as all of her friends at Mount Airy Bowling Lanes.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 5 children: Kenneth Conners and wife Mary of Delaware, David M. Conners, Jr. and companion Maureen, Michael Conners, Sr and companion Jennifer, Steven Conners, Sr. and wife Cathy and Amanda Conners and husband Jeff all of Mt. Airy. She was the cherished "MeMe" of her 13 grandchildren: Kristina, Kasey, David III, Steve Jr., Jacob, Michael Jr., Dillon, Brandon, Brendan, Jade, Mikayla, Cayden and Cheyenne and her great-granddaughter, Paityn. Also survived by 3 siblings: Sandra Ceballos and Phillip Linthicum both of Frederick and Walt Linthicum of West Virginia.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM on Friday, October 17, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy where services will begin at 1:00 PM.
Interment will take place in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
The family invites everyone to celebrate Becky’s Life at a Reception immediately following the interment at Mike & Jen’s House.  6111 Amy’s Terrace, Mount Airy, Maryland 21771. Arrangements are by Stauffer Funeral Home, Mt. Airy
