Reba Sue Sumpter

Reba Sue Williams, age 89, of Frederick, Maryland, formerly of Jonesville, Virginia, passed away on November 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Charles “Buck” Sumpter, as well as her grandson, Jeremy Sumpter; her brother, Andrew Williams; and her parents, Jack and Edna Williams.

Reba is survived by two sons and their wives: Gary and Kandy of Charles Town, West Virginia, and Terry and Melanie of Rohrersville, Maryland. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Bekki, Kenton, Kaitlynn, and Kyle, and her great-grandchildren: Chloe, Caleb, Cooper, Kohlter, Silas, Sloane, and Rayna. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Harold Williams, and his wife, Edna.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the neighbors who have shown such care and kindness over the years. Our sincere gratitude also to Frederick Health Hospice for their compassion and professionalism.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Stauffer Funeral Home in Walkersville, Maryland. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12-2 pm, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, Reba has requested that donations be made to Miller’s Chapel Cemetery, PO Box 889, Jonesville, VA 24263.
