Mr. Raymond W. Thomsen, 76 of Frederick, MD passed away on Thursday, July 29
,
2010 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Brenda Thomsen who passed away in 1984.
Born June 12, 1934 in South Dakota he was the son of the late Wendell and Lily Thomsen.
He served in the United States Army. He retired from A.B. Veirs where he worked in asphalt.
He was an avid redskin fan and he enjoyed square dancing and listening to polka music. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his six children, Rodney Thomsen of New Market, Debora Elsey of Fredericksburg, VA, Ronald Thomsen of Frederick, MD, Russell Thomsen of Frederick, MD, Sheila Stagg of Frederick and Ryan Thomsen and wife Cathy of New Market, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He will also be remembered by all of his other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, August 1
st
from 7:00-9:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 2
nd
at 2:00PM with Rev. Lloyd Fuss officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
