Raymond Redmond, 85, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, passed from this life on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville.
Born on December 5, 1933, in Brunswick, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Thelma (Hollar) Redman.
He was a 1952 graduate of Boonsboro High School. After high school he proudly served from 1952-1956 in the United States Navy.
Ray retired from Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada after 40+ years of employment.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie Redmond and daughter, Jacqueline Nielsen; sister, Linda Redman Tucker and brother, Larry Redman; step children, Kyle and Kevin Christian and Nicole Boland; nieces and nephews, John, Thelma, Connie, Penny, Ginny, Tina, Amber, Michael, Billy, Bret, Bart, Burt, Lisa, Terry, Steve, James and Gina; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Ray is preceded in death by his daughter, Thea Redmond; brothers and sister, Ronald Redman, Thelma Webber and George Redman.
A celebration of Ray's life journey will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Daniel Fraley will officiate. Burial will be held at Brownsville Heights Cemetery with military honors by the Boonsboro American Legion.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
