Raymond Poteat, 38, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at his home in Frederick, Maryland.

Born on November 3, 1984 to Raymond Poteat and Wanda (Lowe) Hubert.

Raymond Graduated from The Jefferson School in Jefferson, Maryland.

Raymond loved spending time with his family, going to church, riding his bike through downtown Frederick with his beloved dogs, Katy and BuddyWeiser, Nascar Racing and The Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by Grandfather, Cecil Hurley and his wife Linda, Mother, Wanda Hubert, Father, Darryl Layman and wife Teresa, Sister, Jacklyn Mitchell, Brothers, Justin Layman, Daniel Still, Carroll Parks and Kenneth Stouter, Aunt, Carmen Trammell-Welch and husband Frank, Uncle, Ernie Layman as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Stauffer Funeral homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

A celebration of Raymond’s life will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.  Clayton Clark will Officiate.  Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
