Randolph Waesche

Mr. Randolph Waesche, 82, of Thurmont, died Tuesday, May 11 at his home. He was
the husband of Eileen R . Waesche, his wife of 56 years and devoted final caregiver.

Born July 25, 1927 in Thurmont, he was the son of the late Clinton F. and Sarah
(Greenwald) Waesche. He was the last of his immediate family.

Mr. Waesche was a 1944 graduate of Thurmont High School and was a veteran, serving
in the U.S . Coast Guard in 194 5 -46. In 1950 he graduated from Auburn University in
Auburn, Alabama; where he was inducted into the engineering honor societies Tau Beta
Pi and Chi Epsilon. He maintained life lo ng contact with several distant college friends.
He was a reputable civil engineer and surveyor and enjoyed a 45 year career as a general
contractor. He had a wide range of vocational talents and completed indoor and outdoor
projects of all kinds, and generously shared his labor and craftsmanship with family and
close friends.

He was a past member of the Thurmont Li o ns Club, and was a life member of the Auburn
Alumni Association , Edwin C. Creeger Jr . American Legion Post 168 , and the Guardian
Hose Company of Thurmont .

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Randolph Waesche Jr. and wife Janice of
Thurmont , and Richard Waesche of Glen Burnie; grandchildren Brian Waesche, Stephen
Waesche, Ben Page and wife Julie, all of Thurmont; and Sandy Page of Winchester,
Virginia ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters ,
Sarah M. Benjamin, Mary Louise Davie Trout, and Martha W. Fink .

At Mr . Waesche's request , there will be no visitation or funeral service . Private
interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.
