Randall (Randy) Williamson

October 28, 1956 — April 21, 2019

Randall (Randy) Lee Williamson, 62, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away suddenly on April 21, 2019.  Randy was the son of Robert Williamson and Lorene Williamson (deceased).  Randy served in the Marine Corps prior to his employment with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.  Randy retired after 28 years of distinguished service with MCFRS.  Randy was recognized for his service as a first responder to the Pentagon on 9-11 as a member of the Montgomery County Urban Search and Rescue, Maryland Task Force 1.  Upon retirement he relocated to Myrtle Beach to spend his retirement fishing and golfing.  Randy enjoyed every day and was always the life of the party.
Randy is survived by his father, Robert Williamson of Ranson, WVa., brother Roger Williamson of Frederick, brother Jeff Williamson(and wife Leslie) of Frederick, step-brother Chuck Tucker (and wife Beth) of Frederick, step-sister Sharon Glassford of Charles Town, WVa, children Peggy Nicholson (and husband Keith) of Pittsburgh, PA, Bobby Williamson (and wife Melissa) of Charles Town, WVa, Chip Williamson (and wife Leslie) of Frederick, Ryan Williamson (and wife Kat) of Myersville,  Kristene Williamson-Lattin of Green Castle, PA.  Randy is also survived his grandchildren, Haley and Tyler Nicholson (Peggy), Gavin and Regan Williamson (Chip), Nathan, Vince, Aubri and Ryleigh Williamson (Ryan), Tapanga and Doran Lattin (Kristene) and several nieces and nephews.  Randy leaves behind many fishing and golfing buddies and many close friends both in South Carolina and Maryland.  Randy also leaves behind the love of his life, Lisa Purkey.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, MD 21702 on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 10:00am to 11:00 am.   A Celebration of his Life will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Tom Musgrove will officiate.  Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
