Mrs. Ramona K. Roach, 79, of Mt. Airy, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 2, 2014. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walker L. Roach, Sr., in August of 2010.
Born on August 2, 1935 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Harold Atwood. She enjoyed attending Locust Grove Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are children Walker L. Roach, Jr. and wife Amanda of Knoxville; Michael P. Roach and wife Karen of Martinsburg, WV; Dennis P. Roach and wife Melissa of Frederick; and Mona Boersen and husband Bryan of New Market; grandchildren Dennis, Jr., Scotty, Angel, Marshall, and Morgan Roach, and Katherine and Christopher Boersen. She will also be remembered by special family friend Ruth Harvey of Hagerstown, as well as many loving church members, friends, and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her brother Harold "Buddy" Atwood, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 18th at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 13356 Glissan’s Mill Road, Mt. Airy, MD. where memorial services will be held at 1:00. Pastors Gregory Quintrell and Bud Lusk will officiate. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Locust Grove Church of the Brethren.
