Ralph Eugene Clabaugh

Mr. Ralph Eugene Clabaugh, 67, of Frederick, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley Ann Myers Clabaugh, his wife of 48 years.

Born June 15, 1941, in Frederick, he was the son of the late George Franklin and Nettie Alberta Hoffman Clabaugh. Ralph worked for Black and Decker for twenty years. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his fish pond, cooking, playing games and making homemade greeting cards on his computer, and holiday decorating, but especially enjoyed his family and his Pomeranian Spanky. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Tonya Lynn Fitzwater and husband, Richard, of Walkersville and Michelle Dawn Crawford and husband, Scott, of Brunswick; four grandchildren: Jenna Kenote, Erin Crawford, Michael Crawford, and Taylor Crawford; three sisters: Catherine Hoffman of Frederick, Evelyn Hale of Walkersville, and Margaret Wastler of Frederick; numerous nieces and nephews; and Godniece, Jazmyn Anders.

He was preceded in death by Helen E. Clabaugh, James F. Clabaugh and Shirley T. Stull..

Services: A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, with Rev. Walter P. Fogarty officiating. Interment will be private.
