Ralph Sprague

Ralph Francis Sprague, 85 of Thurmont, Maryland passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016. He was born August 14, 1931 in Tennesse.Son of the late Ralph Jennings Sprague and Ella Leonard. He was the husband of the late Doris R. Sprague.
Mr. Sprague was a lifetime member of the Full Gospel Business Men and attended Morningstar Family Church.  He owned R.F. Sprague trucking business for over 50 years. He was an Army veteran and sponsored numerous charities in the Frederick area. He loved his family farm, "Sprague's Coast to Coast", and enjoyed boating.

He is survived by his children Barbara Sprague and Paul Newman of Rockville;  Charles E. Sprague of CA; Eileen Sprague Haines and her husband Eric of TN; Teresa Ogle and husband Ben of Thurmont; grandchildren Wayne Kerns, Jr. and his wife Stacey of Thurmont; Ian Sprague Haines of TN; and Morgan Ogle of Thurmont and two great grandchildren Stella and Sawyer Kerns of Thurmont, and Glenn Baugher, who was like a son and his loving dog, Gidget.

He was predeceased in death by three children, Kenneth W. Sprague, Nancy E. Sprague and Ralph Sprague, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, from 3-5 and 7- 9 p.n. where services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  Pastor Warren Rice, Rev. Donna Sandridge will officiate.
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
