Ralph Mobley, Sr.
February 23, 1942 — July 25, 2017
Ralph F. Mobley Sr. 75 of Walkersville, MD passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Glade Valley Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Clara Mobley for 54 wonderful years.
Born February 1942 in Rockville, MD he was the son of the late Earl Franklin and Linda Noreen Mobley.
Ralph was a firefighter for 25 years in Montgomery County, active volunteer with Walkersville Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years and a Frederick County Bus Driver for over 20 years. He was an avid football fan for Walkersville Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins. Attended numerous NASCAR races with friends for several years .
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Christina Marie McLaren and husband Mark of Wilmington, DE; Kathleen Lynn Held and husband Joshua Ray of Walkersville, MD; Ralph Franklin Mobley Jr. and wife Susan of Urbana, MD; grandchildren Jack and Brandon McLaren, Joshua II, Andrew, Nicholas and Ezekiel Held and Brady, Jake and Delaney Mobley and sister Joyce Jenkins of Frederick.
Family would like to thank Heartfields of Frederick and Glade Valley Nursing Home for their outstanding care and compassion of Ralph during his final months.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Oppossumtown Pike, Frederick Md. on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 1st at 10:30 AM at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Rd., Walkersville, Md. 21793. Monsignor Richard Murphy and Father Juan Rubio will be the celebrants.
Interment will follow at Glade Cemetery in Walkersville, MD.
